THE LICENSING PATHWAY

A separate licence that must support the same operation.

Domestic Air Service Licence applications and amendments are considered under South Africa’s Air Services Licensing Act and Domestic Air Services Regulations. The Air Service Licensing Council makes licensing decisions, with SACAA providing administrative support for the process.

The Air Service Licence and the Part 101 UASOC are separate regulatory workstreams. Orion manages the ASL process as a defined project and coordinates it with the wider certification pathway where applicable.

Continuity as you grow

Future amendments can be managed against a clear licensing and certification baseline.
COORDINATED WITH PART 101

Your Air Service Licence is not your UASOC.

The Air Service Licence follows the domestic air services licensing framework. The UASOC follows SACAA’s Part 101 certification process. They are related, but they are not interchangeable.
Orion can manage both service pathways and coordinate their dependencies, timing and supporting information around the same intended operation.
AFTER THE LICENCE

Operational change can create new licensing requirements.

Growth, revised services or changes to approved conditions can require an Air Service Licence amendment and related updates elsewhere in the operation.
Orion can remain alongside your team through amendments and broader compliance requirements, helping each change follow a controlled regulatory pathway.
